While we’re firm believers that you can never grow out of Halloween (the spooky season is the best one after-all), we could leave the sugar and wild nights behind in favour for something a little more soothing.
Here’s our list of 5 things to create your own self care Halloween
1. Autumnal bath
Slip into something that suits the weather with a spiced bath. Try bulk spices like cinnamon sticks, cardamom pods and star anise, or take the quick route and add a few bags of Aim Chai for the ultimate cozy bath scape.
2. Spiced comforting foods
A little bit of comfort (especially if horror movies are on the agenda) will calm your nervous system and support ultimate relaxation. Consider roasted seasonal veg like squash and brussel sprouts with creamy risotto or handmade pasta.
3. Supporting cozy blends
With the cold comes the need for extra skin and immunity supporting blends, like Crimson Cranberry to help fend off seasonal colds and Pumpkin Spice with rosehip to support healthy skin.
4. Remembering those who have passed
In many cultures, the end of October and start of November are days when the veil between the world of the living and the world of the dead and used to remember and honour loved ones who have passed. Sometimes the best way to take care of ourselves is to reflect on our past. Consider dedicating some time to journaling about a passed loved one or going through photographs.
5. Make a nest
Get all of your fluffiest duvets, blankets and pillows and pile them in a corner of your home to make a beautiful cozy little nest to read, watch scary movies or just simply relax.
